Who Am I?

Kaley Halperin,

A singer-songwriter, Social entrepreneur and mother from Jaffa, Israel.
Born in New York, USA.
At the age of six my family moved to Israel and I was raised in a small city in the Judean desert.

Music, people and spirituality have been my passions from a very young age. As I grew up I pursued them, studying at a Jewish school for the arts and specializing in voice. Alongside volunteering and working in everything people. Youth groups, overseas programs, community centers and more.
With a B.ed in music education, and working on my Masters in Jewish studies, I am constantly searching how to bring people closer through music and community and find a deeper understanding of identity.

My songs are prayers that I've collected and created from my life experiences, observations and inspired by the ancient words of my culture.

Now I live in Jaffa, a mixed neighborhood in Tel Aviv with my husband and four children.
Singing, writing, creating, performing and leading workshops. While initiating and producing programs like "Jaffa chooses life", "Mimtzulot" festival, "Hakhel" that help bring music, people and spirit together

My first album of original music "Kan"(Here) , and the music I have released since, are influenced by my American background, my Jewish faith, and the Global Village we all live in. I have performed with it in
venues all around Israel and in the USA. From large festival stages, to intimate living room concerts.

These days I continue to search for depth through song, prayer and togetherness. In prayer writing workshops, musical performances and gatherings and community initiatives that bring the different communities in Israel together through art and spirit.
